Should we have been 2-0 up against 10 men or am I clutching at straws blaming Kettle?

Can’t blame Kettle. However, if he had sent their lad off for that horror challenge on Herbie, different result.

Academic now - all over. We threw that away. Totally dominant for most of the game, bag full of chances. 2-0 up and cruising. They score with two potshots and have their tails up and we lose focus completely.

All in all... I’m pissed off we threw it away BUT in the bigger picture, McCann will learn from that and we’ll be better for it imho. We move on.

How the heck did this happen.

Just not closing players down and converting our own chances

Ridiculous that's the difference between being a top team and an average team.
Take the foot off the gas and pay the penalty - they need their wages docking !!

FT 3-2

changes nothing really. just 2 points outside playoffs but top 2 might be a stretch now...

How does it change nothing, we’ve dropped out of the play offs! Not the end of the world but pretty to poor to be 2 up and throw it away, hope it doesn’t impact their confidence going forward.

Haha that’s ridiculous.

“Lads, you’ve lost and you must be gutted. Well here’s a reason to cheer up - you’re all fined two weeks wages.”

Sunderland Pompey and Luton all dropped points we’ve missed the boat today on closing in on the top 3

Still plenty of time and games to sort it out if it was the last game of the season then fine but as is we have a good few games to turn it back round and go on another good run

It's not the end of the world but with other results our standing in the table could have been so much better.

One defeat does not a crisis make..

We have the best striker in the football league, Rowe back, Mason back, Wright to come..  we know we can perform and win more games to come, and we are still in the cup with a great chance be to make the 5th round.

We are mostly playing entertaining football too, but we are not the finished article which is why we are hovering 6th/7th..

Just as a win doesn’t guarantee we are a shoe in for the play offs or promotion, a loss doesn’t mean we need to hit the Samaritans on speed dial..

Well that's a complete f*ck up then.

I don't know myself why people insist on predicting the future because it generally comes back to bite you in the arse. There are certain things that don't need to be said because you generally end up looking silly.

That's a big blow to our credentials when we needed to gain ground. The top teams complied and we had it in our hands and let it slip.

Don’t think anybody has suggested we’re in a crisis but losing 3-2 when you’re 2-0 up with 13 mins to go is embarrassing.
We’re not good enough to start being arrogant

All started with Wilks giving away a stupid free kick. He had a bad game all round missing two great chances. Rovers should have been out of sight before they had a chance to get back into the game.
