referee on saturday
« on January 15, 2019, 03:50:03 pm by watto-drfc »
Paul Marsden is the man in charge of Saturday’s home match against Burton Albion.

Marsden was one of six National League referees promoted to the Football League at the start of the 2018/19 season. This promotion came after just one season refereeing in the National League. He has been in-charge of 21 matches this season mostly in Sky Bet League Two.

Saturday will be Marsden’s fourth time in charge of a Sky Bet League One match. His most recent appointment was January 1 when he oversaw Bradford City vs Accrington Stanley. In that match he gave out nine yellow cards and one red.

In the current campaign, Marsden has awarded 58 yellow cards and five red cards.  He will be assisted on Saturday by David Avent and Robert Atkin. Steven Rushton is the fourth official.

He wasn't rated too highly in the City v Accrington game.
Accrington were very physical.
