ROVCON rollcall for today.

As an homage to Philsky or Robtherover, I can’t remember which to credit, how is everyone feeling before the match tomorrow?

For those unfamiliar the ROVCON scale is 10 (mild concern) to 1 (terminal anxiety).

I was at a 9 until the signing of the new centre half which has spiked my interest so am now at a steady 7 ( slight bum flutter)

Unusual for us to even think like this in January. 😶

Either way, I’m middling for this game.. it is one we should win, but equally so could Oldham..

I’m going other way NR - Cup is a good distraction but league being the main focus, however the closer match gets I’m getting more and more excited and climbing up (down) the RovCon scale

And it goes 5 to 1. It's based on DEFCON where 5 is tranquility and 1 is all out nuclear war shite your pants loss of control.

I'm on Rovcon 2, but my football starts tonight with street football, training U11s in the morning, Rovers in the afternoon then U11s match on Sunday then Futsal training Monday night.

Rovcon 3 for me, the old butterflies are starting, if they stopped so would I. absolutely love FA Cup days. Had the game been at the old girl Belle Vue I would be on a 5 sat with me feet up chilled with a beer & a ceegar.

Watching the manure ars game has got me revved up a bit more knowing we may just go on to play one of them. I’m up to 5 on the 1-10 scale or a solid 3 on the 1-5 scale.

I have to say I am massively worked up for this game.

I left Donny aged 17 but have supported Rovers ever since and I’m 61 now.

I have two daughters aged 12 and 10 who have never lived in Donny and probably never will but they are both ST holders and mad Rovers fans.

We live on the borders of North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and East Lancashire so my girls are surrounded by Bradford City, Leeds and Burnley fans.

But my elder daughter wears her Rovers scarf to school every day and my younger daughter takes her Donny Dog teddy to every sleepover.

I’ve had a serious pre-match briefing tonight with my girls over dinner.

I’ve explained that tomorrow’s game is massive. In all Dad’s years of supporting Rovers, we have never made the 5th round of the FA Cup.
So I explained that Dad is very worked up about tomorrow and we all have to pull together and get behind the lads.

There was silence around the dinner table for a few moments until my younger daughter said...... “What’s the FA Cup Dad?”
