in Ben, Herbie and Ali we have 3 cracking midfielders.

Even out did Kane today which takes some doing. I do feel like he misses a few tackles when they are running through midfield but a lot of that is how many players we send forward meaning he's on his own

Build a team around him and he could well be second only to Copps’ appearances by the time he leaves

Me and my brother were discussing Ben on the way home in the car.
He had a brilliant game today and he is growing, maturing and improving all the time.

Easily man of the match today, not just for his goals but for his all-round performance.

And how cool was he with that penalty, despite the disgraceful and unsporting attempts by Oldham players to put him off.

Well done Ben, superb performance.

Our 2 stand-out players today were Ben and Alfie.

I reckon Ben is our most improved player this season . We got a bargain there, he’s been brilliant so far and I thought we’d miss houghton but pleased how it’s turned out 😀

I don’t  think that Houghton was the same after his injury.
It happened right in front of me, I thought he was nobbled at the time.

Which game was that? I recall houghton getting injured and you’re right he wasn’t the same player since . Similar with Keshi Anderson who I thought was Superb until he got badly injured.

M.O.M by a mile and that’s without his goals today.
Superb performance from him. He is turning into one if the best and most consistent players we have had for some time.
If we could keep Kane long term then those two will be better than Stock and Wellens in a year or two. Not far off already imo.

I can’t think of a penalty that had so much riding on it since Griffin Park.Big Ben strikes again!

Whiteman is going to be worth a lot of money if he carries on like this.

He’s up there for player of the season with Herbie for me.

He's been consistent all season and getting better in that position.

Always helps when you have good players in front of you too. Interestingly, Herbie didn't have his best game although he stepped it up a bit in the last 20 mins event though some things didn't quite come off. I saw a Liverpool video last week highlighting their top 7 young players coming through and Herbie wasn't one of them!

We have every reason to believe promotion is a realistic target and if we're successful, I would expect we'll do everything we can to secure Herbie's services long term. We could have an extremely talented crop of players going forward, if you also count Wilks, Smith and Downing as possible aquisitions.
