People complaining that Marko didn’t come to try to punch the corner away when they scored should have a look at it on here.
Their number six blocks his movement and makes sure he can’t get anywhere near the ball.

He does look as though he’s impeded but still at fault for me - the ball is still in the 6 yard box and he’s looking for the linesman and holding his arms up trying to get a foul, play to the whistle!

It's a foul on Marosi.
Their defender has got hold of him, preventing Marko from jumping for the ball.
Should have been goal disallowed and a free kick to us.

Clear as day that it is a foul.
All keepers stand with their arms out in situations like that and after the ball drops it is obvious that he can’t see it and is keeping his arms wide to make himself big in case a shot comes at him.
He isn’t looking at the linesman either because the linesman is behind him on the opposite side to where the ball is coming in from.

Watch it again, as the ball comes off Butler’s head he looks to his left (yes, the opposite side to where the ball has come from) - if he’s not looking for the linesman, what is he looking at?

I agreed that it looks like he was impeded but I’m disappointed that he’s more interested in getting the foul than trying to keep the ball out.

But if he gets the foul he does prevent the goal.

Just had another look.
Yes his glance does go to his left but he is just looking for the ball.
Never does he look as though he is looking as far away as where the linesman would be.

Agree with that - clearly a foul also...

Agree entirely with this. He gave up and started waving his arms around when he should have played to whistle and focused on where the ball was - which at that point was bobbling around inside box. His reaction to that situation was poor - even if he had been fouled.

Play. To. The. Whistle.

Marosi was fouled on every corner. Astonishing that the officials didn't see it.

But there was an even bigger blunder by them for Blackpool's goal.

The Blackpool player whose sole job it was to block Marosi was stood directly in front of Marosi when the shot came in, blocking his view and preventing him from doing anything to stop the goal. And he was in an offside position.

Bad miss by the officials. We're really not getting the rub of the green at the moment.

These are rarely given as fouls nowadays. It is happening in most matches where the goal keeper is being blocked off. It seems anything goes in the penalty area at set pieces and it NEEDS SORTING because it is more like rugby than football.
The refs need to have some b....cks and take action.
But until they are told on mass to do so by the powers above, nothing is going to change.

The thing is though, when they do have a go at a new initiative, like in the World Cup for example, it only lasts a few months and everything then goes back to the way it was before.

It's infuriating that we were denied the winning goal against Charlton because May was "offside" (yet not inteferring with play at all) yet the Blackpool player was completely inteferring with play in an offside position and gets away with it?
