I'm on holiday in Cyprus over Easter so was missing both Sunderland and Accrington, at least now I'll be able to watch one of them!

Is there a minimum notice period to move games.?

It would be good to know that so that folks don’t commit to travel plans or taking time off work too soon.?

I think (not 100% sure though) that they are supposed to give 5 weeks notice for tv games. This doesn't really help though as I know a lot of people get the cheap train tickets as soon as they come out which is usually 3 months in advance. Also hotels etc are generally more expensive the longer you leave it before booking, if you're making a weekend of it.

True but then it’s a risk people take - not saying anyone is wrong to book early but it is risky..

Different for folks with young kids who can’t go to evening fixtures..

ironically we can blame the dingles for the time change ? holding Sunderland to a draw

strange coincidence NOT that they awaited for the barnsley v Sunderland match last night  before moving

the 2 legged play off against the Dingles awaits !!

Luckily doesn't affect me as my train gets in about 10.30 & leaves 9.30 - was planning beers before and after in Newcastle.

But this will affect plenty and may even stop some attending. With the amount of money that Sky pays football teams, surely people whose plans are impacted should be compensated? Any ideas when the scheme that allows for flexible travel arrangements is likely to come into play?

This game has been stuck on for TV coverage since the fixtures came out. Not surprised in slightest.
Had to cancel an overtime shift I’d got booked in though.

Once again the poor old fan has to pay the price for sky tv..The club will be happy no doubt as they get a few quid but nobody gives a monkey's cuss for the fans who have arranged things around this game..Train tickets are expensive and the sooner you book them the cheaper they are..These will have to rearranged now at a further cost no doubt...
Football must be the only entertainment business in the world were the actual attending customer is seen as a dog that falls into line rather than the priority to keep happy...And you don't even get so much as a apology from anyone
