Anderson is our best defender in the sense of defend first - play after, he’s very much in the mould of a Jack Charlton, Terry Butcher, Tony Adams and latterly John Terry.
If we manage to sign Downing that would be a handy quartet of defenders assuming Buts signs again & we can keep Wright fit

The situation with the defense is exactly what GM constantly brings up about it being a squad game.  Every time a ch has gone off injured or suspended, grant has brought another in, who has kept his place till the next unforced swop. Hes very keen to let the man with the shirt keep it if hes playing well..

Jesus, who had Coppinger down as MoM. Yesterday was the worst he's played in a long, long time.

It's strange how Liam Hoden sees things differently to us. He has Butler as MOM with 9, ahead of Anderson with 8.

He also has Sadlier on 6, describing him as Rovers' best attacking outlet, showing more composure on the ball than the rest, and regards his withdrawal as surprising. I personally thought it was his worst game for us.
