Oxford served winding up order

Will this mean any points earned against them being deducted if they go bust before the end of the season? or points deduction if going into admin?

The winding up order won’t affect anything this season as the Court hearing isn’t due to take place until 25th May.

The bbc website says this is the fifth winding up order issued against OUFC since Rebruary 2018.

With the problems of Bolton and Coventry also being highlighted this week I wonder when a club will actually be expelled from the league ?

Birmingham, Bolton and Bury all have financial problems, Coventry’s are more to do with having no where to play home games.

There's no danger of Coventry being kicked out. Although the EFL has to call an EGM under it's rules there's no appetite amongst the clubs to expel them. They are afraid of setting a precedent.

I suspect they will be allowed to ground-share next season, maybe at Northampton again, although I have heard rumours of them playing in Rugby.

The preferred option of Coventry supporters is Nuneaton

Would that be acceptable under current ground stipulations
Capacity 4600 with 514 seated
Personally I’ve never forgiven Coventry for stealing Robert Betts

Makes you wonder what measures are in place to prevent any club being issued with FIVE winding up orders in a relatively short period? I thought transfer embargo's were a measure that could be imposed until bills were paid?

No doubt the system of collecting taxes need looking at if this is still happening too often.

Wiyh Blackpool not being deducted any points it seams the EFL just do things willy nilly. Surely there should be hard and fast rules that can't be messed about with depending who you are.

Football clubs appear to be dealt with differently to regular type businesses.

North Ferriby ceased to exist for just £6000.
