I rate him to. Makes a mistake. He is human. Coppinger is a legend, however he is not having a great game. Let’s back them all

Every player has bad games. It doesn't make them a bad player.

Agree unfortunately. Given to many balls away
Cracking free kick from Andrews. Shame. We are still in this. One goal from us and they will panic

What annoys me most is why Whiteman is on the pitch. There are not enough negative words in the dictionary to describe how bad he has been. Clearly not fit so why play him? Also leaving Matty Blair 1 v 1 with Mcgeady is criminal. What is McCann doing here!?

This wasn’t a game for 4-3-3. But, it doesn’t help when we don’t even turn up!

He’s changed a winning team I guess,
and you gotta play ya best players that you have available ....
because that is whats expected
and we don’t want to be keeping our finest on the bench now do we...
However.....

If we were winning there would be no complaints, however.... also it’s not over yet.

It looks to me to be yet another display of big occasion bottling from Rovers.

It's not over yet though, and I expect better in the second half.

Getting bullied in centre again. Whiteman Copps and Kane have got a bet on, see who can give the ball away the most. Kane looks like a little boy lost today. Needs to change the formation for a start. Then tell them what coloured strip were playing in. Start again 2nd half, next goal is the big one.

Completely agree....
However, we are losing 2-0, so it’s a bit of an uphill struggle to get just the one point now, ...
but no point in harping on, it happens,...and we just have to look forward to the next game....

The cross was curling away from Marosi which made it look a lot worse.

What a great save

So we now get excited about routine saves. Any keeper makes that

Mistakes cost goals and his record is good but when he has an off day like today it generally costs the game .

Not excited you arse. Stating a fact. Great save. He has made them all season. Yet people criticise him for one mistake. Coppinger was crap today. As was Kane as was Wilkes. No post on them. It happens. But I support my team. Through thick and thin. And I have seen lots of s**t on our pitch in the past.

As with Lawlor he always has a mistake in him. Can make some great saves but you are never fully confident in either of them.

Made one mistake, who doesn't? Bad timing, rest of the team didn't have enough to drag us back into it.

It was an understandable mistake from Marko.
Their player crossed from the left with his right foot. Anyone would expect it to curl in, but it didn't and caught him out.

Andy Woolmer was Sunderlands best player today and before anyone says we can't. Lame the ref for losing, well had he given the pen on Butler it could have changed the outcome had it gone to 2-1.
As for Marosi, all keepers make errors, what about the one by De Gea against Barca.

I think Marosi and Lawlor are pretty level pegging and would be great to have them both for next season if we're in League 1. They have both improved this season and both can get better.

One area I think Marosi is better is pulling himself together after making a mistake, Lawlor has been marginally more shakey in that respect.

Marko Marosi - lambasted weekly for not coming off his line, this week he comes off his line and gets lambasted for the doing the thing he has been previously lambasted for not doing. Leads me to the conclusion that our fans in the main are an unpleasable set of lambasted’s

Yes but we need a keeper who knows when to come off his line and when not to.
He is a brilliant shot stopper can’t criticise him for that part of his game. There probably isn’t a better keeper in league 1, unfortunately he is very weak on crosses and his decision making is not good as shown today and at Scunthorpe amongst many others.
His distribution most of the time is slow and his decision making poor. Time after time he gives it to someone with a player pressing from behind and puts us under pressure.
I know not everyone agrees but he just has not improved the weak parts of his game and if we go up will definitely need better next season.
I am not 100% convinced Lawlor is good enough yet for the League above but in my opinion he has the attributes to become a very good keeper. His all round game is much sounder than Marosi’s.
No question in my mind about that.
Ask anyone with professional goalkeeping experience and they will agree with me.
