They seem confident the job is done. We created nothing and our goal was poxy. So was there's that pinged about in the 6 yard box IMO.

What I was hugely surprised not to see was their fans kicking off about all 3600 of them standing all game and ruining it for everyone.

Maybe they are better behaved than SOME of our fans.

Sorry I meant having a 9 page thread about it. Their fans were excellent and I don't expect it to be replicated by us Friday.

They think they are something special. Their fans were bang average. Coventry were louder with half as many last week.

Apparerntly we didn't have a chance til we scored. They must have missed their keeper and crossbar saving them in the first half.

Surprising though isn't it, how nearly every other club who comes to the Keepmoat, ALL their fans stand for the entire game, and you don't see any moaning about it on their forums. We, as a club just don't have the same level of passion in our supporters.

I'm not surprised they didn't moan about standing, it's just a vocal minority on here that like to moan about that. Its a problem other clubs don't seem to have

That will depend on what the team is doing on the pitch.
It is easy to sing a lot when the team is winning.

Shame but I agree, whenever someone tries to stand and support the team, some moaning get tells them to be quiet and sit down.
It's a phenomenon that only seems to plague rovers.

You'd be surprised. The FSF mailbag is full of complaints like this.

You know what, I have never heard anyone say be quiet and sit down to another fan for supporting the team.
The problem I do see though is when people decide to come in late then decide to stand in front of someone who has been in their seat for half an hour.
Including the idiots who stand in the front few rows.

Does the moaning get ever get a result though ? Or put it another way if an older bloke asked someone if they minded sitting down (as I did at Bradford) would the person asked say " yes sorry old boy - I will"

I cannot for the life of me believe that this is a problem that affects just Rovers either.

Charlton rolled up today with unallocated Seating - and lots of people obviously stood up and if Row 1 stand up Row 2 have to otherwise they see f*** all and then 3 and 4 (well you get the picture)

The people who cant or DONT want to stand for 90 minutes (and lets face it - that is not a crime - its just a preference) will have tried to find a place where they can do that-      that is sit down and watch the Game

Both groups support the same Team - and I will now make it my "goal" to find you examples of other Forums where the same thing is happening

It wasn't unallocated for Charlton. They are just more bothered about actually creating an atmosphere and supporting the team, rather than moan about this is my seat, and I want to sit in it.

Oh for crying out loud we are not on this one again.
I think this subject has run its course for this season at least surely.

The Coventry fans were very good, but the Charlton ones never stopped and were all well rehearsed in their chants. The fans were a credit to their team (apart from one green smoke bomb at the front).

Well, you can't blame them can you? Imagine emerging from a pea-souper, cow eels and tripe existence and finding thisen in a Shangri-la like Donny. You WOULD sing wouldn't you?
