No chance need better, only reason they are suggested because former players. If they had no connection to the club they wouldn't be even suggested based on track record.

Wilcox was head of recruitment until GM installed his mate Lee Glover, Schofield is coaching in the juniors . So not exactly unknown to the club

I think that was quite the opposite of what Rovers91 was getting at to be honest.

I don't think this would be the right route to go to be honest. Neither of them have lit the league up as managers.

That’s true
McCann has been the only manager we’ve had recently that everyone agreed was doing a good job.
Although someone said on here yesterday they were glad to see the back of him

Some on here would not like it (to quote the old joke) if they found someones Wage Packet on the floor and opened it to find £600 quid . They would be happy till they noticed the bloke had paid a load of Tax that week

I said that. Why was he doing a good job? The football was OK to start with but anything remotely attractive largely disappeared pre Christmas with the odd exception.

Lots of people wanted Ferguson gone because they felt he under achieved in our first season back in League 1, which I was one of, actually thinking his attitude and mindset was holding us back. GM came in and took largely the same squad of players to were most people thought they should of finished the previous season. That's a satisfactory job not a good job! And like I've said elsewhere and it's something everyone seems to be overlooking, he was and still is at the helm when a large portion of our squad decided their futures lay away from the Keepmoat. I can't be the only one thinking he could be the reason behind some of those decisions!

I would hope we could do better than these two.should be aiming higher than this if we are to progress as a club.
