Fans have short memories too..Relatively speaking we are in a great place, managerial issues notwithstanding..
What we need is a take over, untill then it's a well run club in div1.

If we had given a extra this preseason so the manager had a chance to sign his first choice players then he would not have contemplated moving.

Was that you I saw down at the Keepmoat earlier with a cheque for couple of hundred thousand quid of what would be your kids inheritance ready to hand it over so Doncaster Rovers could keep hold of a striker who would miss control 8 out of 10 passes played to his feet, or the greedy local centre back who's legs went 3 seasons ago who will be swapping his 10 minute commute for a 40 minute commute for a few extra bob that will probably only go on petrol anyway? Didn't think so!
Read my post..I’m talking about where we are in general compared to times like being in non league, Richardson, and when we had the likes of Cusack as manager..The actual manager/squad issue of today isn’t the point..

The top and bottom of it is that grant as done a remarkable job for Donny on a shoe string budget. Worked the loan market to perfection. His style of football as been a joy to watch at times and with Hull city’s current state I can see why they want him. There is loyalty in the lower leagues as proven at Lincoln city with the Cowley brothers. I’m sure that they’ve had plenty of opportunities to move on to bigger things. Maybe Lincoln’s boards ambitions match that of their managers and ours don’t.
Spot on with that, we are a well run club but with no appetite for championship football. Simply our finances will not sustain that level of football. Charlton top budget div 1. Now the lowest in the championship.Good call giving McCann a budget for 6th place, keeps the fans happy 20 wins a season but low chance of winning three play off games. Cool call from the board still in div 1.Why oh why have we moved on almost all the team that got us to the play offs that's not building a promotion side it's starting again keeping us in div one which we can afford. Why are we replacing with div 1 players and not players who can compete at the next level cos it keeps us in div 1 which we can afford. McCann for me sucks up to the board, fergy didn't, he had worked out what was going on, hence his comment 'I don't want to be a div 1 mamager' saw no future, other than a life in div1 so he left. What we need is a take over, untill then it's a well run club in div1.
