Out of that list i've gone Moore, it's close between him and Powell. Would obviously be Adkins but i think he can easily hold out for a championship job when the season gets going

Chris Hughton. But of course that won’t happen.
Darren Moore or possibly Richie Wellens. Can’t quite say yet whether Richie would make a good manager. Don’t know sometimes till you are given the opportunity.
Had a slightly disappointing season at Swindon Town last year. Think they were expected to make the play offs as a minimum.

Don’t want McCall or Powell.
Not sure on Appleton, been a long time since he was no 1 at a club. Been assistant for a considerable time.

Who else is there that would be a good fit?
Not sure unless we go head hunting.

Challinor at Fylde possibly but would be a bit of a gamble.
Sometimes they come off though.

Another pathetic comment.
This forum is rife with them this evening. All the usual suspects + a few new ones.

Why isn't Simon Grayson's name on there? I can't think of many managers currently out of work with a better track record than him. Yorkshireman too so can't live a million miles away, Wetherby would be my guess which is an easy commute.

Good shout that, he can't do any worse than the shambles at Bradford.

He is now third favourite on skybet.

There was rumours of him pre McCann.

am sure wellens took over 17/18 games into season when they were struggling and he managed to finish 5/6 points off play offs , playing good attacking football also he's signed some good players so far in his first pre season , one of my favourites to go up this year , few rovers links there Keshi Anderson , baudry , Jerry Yates signed there today

The Lincoln co-Managers, they know how to build for success on a limited budget, got Lincoln promoted twice.

true we had Boris johnson practising "dark arts " yesterday in the voting and we certainly don't want them with their "alleged" "dark arts" here the game is called football by the way.

I think we should go for a German manager like a fee clubs have done recently. They seem to be tactically superior to British managers.

Why the hell is wellens always on any list.  Good player no record as a manager.  His dabble didn’t end in great success.  Forget him and move on for gods sake

First of all, no bad will against Mcann for the move he made, we are a provincial club and will always be a stepping stone no matter whether that be players or managers. And for those who would point to say we are not because we haven't had that many leave as such. That's football. We are a small team. Still think McCann has made the wrong choice to go to a club on a downward spiral.
Would love to see Daren Moore, been given an unfair time previously but think he could be a top manger if given the chance Perhaps with us?

In my opinion, once you take away the pressure of “ expected “ achievement, ( Championship & Premiership )  and throw in a good football playing squad with no prima donnas, not to mention a sound financial structure to the club with a workable budget....
Well!
We should attract a good amount of candidates dying to prove their pedigree.....

Michael Appleton. He ticks off the main two boxes, can develop players and plays decent football.
