Billy Russell and Roy Keane? I would guess from the betting market
They also say “we understand”..
I can’t recall the Free Press saying the links with Hill were wide of the mark. They may have said there had been no approach when there hadn’t. So the official links were wide of the mark at that stage. What’s now clear is that McCann and agent were negotiating with Hull behind our backs, ahead of the official approach.

The reports were bang on.

Obviously the reports linking McCann with Hull were entirely correct, irrespective of the absence of an approach through the official channels, as McCann was already talking to them and the deal effectively done before the talks between the clubs.
Moore, Flitcroft, Appleton, Keane and Eustace.

And at the same time he was dismantling our team and didn’t teplace anyone

What would people think, if Emma Hayes was one of the people on the shortlist???
I think the first one would need to be a success otherwise clubs could shy away from it for a while.
