Dropped down to Bradford Park Avenue, surely better than that?

Same level as York City, Hereford, Chester and Darlington. Stockport County just got promoted from this level. Half decent.

He must have a day job as well. Bradford PA are in National North; surely they must be part-time.

He just needs to be playing. If he has the right attitude and potential he will get picked up by a bigger club. There is loads of young players who go to that level and shine and then get picked up. Good luck to him I hope he does well.

He's not that young. He's 23 next month so needs to get his head down quickly..

It must be a concern how many of our youngsters actually go on to play at a good level. I know it's been done to death on here but just so many seem to fall down the ladder after leaving us.

The only player I can remember going on to play at a decent level from our youth team in recent years is James Husband.  Can anybody point out anymore?

Jonny Maxted now at Exeter is possibly the next best after Husband.

Another youth team player we have developed that has ended up in non league. Why don’t they seem to kick on? Ability or mentality?

James Husband is the only one in recent times to play at a higher level. Majority have to go backwards. Let’s hope 1 or 2 of the new crop can come forward with us because loaning to lower level does not work and players form goes backwards.

Looking on social media it appears he still lives at his parents house. I’m guessing he can afford to have a season in non league before hopefully kicking on and moving back up the leagues. It did appear he was getting worried about not finding a club so may have just signed for the first club that we’re interested

He wasn't doing too badly until he got a tricky injury.  Agree with the general point though, we need someone to come through soon.

I made this point before but thought it was worth bringing up..

How many youth team players do we bring in every year, then keep through the age groups until they move into the first team squad or move away.?  Multiply that number by the amount of clubs doing the same.

Then look at how long an average pro footballer is in the game, 10-15 years maybe.?

Therefore you don’t get anywhere near as many older pros leaving the game compared to the amount of young players starting, so the vast majority of young players won’t make it.?

That doesn’t even take into account overseas pros.

Boyce?

With the figures that are being thrown around nowadays it'd be daft not to get the academy to the highest possible level, we'd probably pay for it with one player being sold on.
