Because you might have a strong interest in the job in the first place, but change your mind after interview or an offer that doesn’t quite suit.?

Could be any number of things. Worth bearing in mind that the 3pm thing was only invented nonsense with no foundation anyway.

If that were to be the case and I’m hoping it’s not we could be in a bad position. I would assume Appleton would do that same and we would be left with Hudson/Flitcroft.
