Why did Bairstow review his dismissal?
That cost Roy a possible century and puts pressure on England.

The cheating Aussies knew he did n’t hit it, the appeal was to try and detract from the wide, the umpire was n’t sure either by the way he raised his finger

If you’re not sure, the finger stays down..

Still on for a decent win.. who’d have thunk it.!

Roy most likely told him to review - usually the batsman at the non-striking end has a better view and advises.

Swings and roundabouts Filo, were you complaining when Broad didn’t walk a few years back?

Excellent win today - bowling, fielding and batting were all exceptional. Never seen such a dominant performance over the Aussies and great to get it so close to the Ashes. Play anywhere near that level on Sunday and we should win.

He seemed certain and didn't look to consult Roy in my view.
Luckily it didn't cost us. When you only have one review though you need to be certain.

Brilliant performance by England yesterday, they simply blew the Aussies away.
Decision to be made on Sunday now. Headingley Yorks v Somerset 2nd day of the Championship match or The Telly to watch England v New Zealand in the World Cup Final.
Well our country don’t get to too many World Cup Finals do they so i think that’s the one I’ll be watching.
Back to Headingley on Monday to see us beat the league leaders in 3 days. Well we can dream can’t we.  ;)

Not brilliant is it. Don’t understand what they were thinking when these all were planned on same day.
Am really surprised this round of County Championship matches start tomorrow (Sat )
Why couldn’t they start on Monday. The gate at Headingley will be well down for a Sunday.
Very badly planned, quite ridiculous when you think about it.
Could you imagine Rovers having a league game at the same time as England football team were playing in a World Cup Final.  :headbang:

Could happen next WC is mid season isn’t it
Definitely poor planning for Sunday (and letting the Arabs buy the WC)

Another cracking century from Gary Ballance today his 6th in the County Championship this season.
Very well supported by Tom Kholer-Cadmore. They put on 199 for the 3rd wicket and were under 3 overs away from not losing a wicket in 2 sessions when Ballance was out.
Very good day for Yorks against the league leaders and they put us in to bat, which makes it even better.

The way New Zealand are bowling we're going to lose this. What is it with England sporting teams? We just don't ever seem to be able to get over the line.

Beats me why, when the tournament is in England, they choose to play the final on a bowlers wicket, when England's strength is with the bat.

Brainless shots, again. Root threw his wicket away. Morgan threw his wicket away. To say they are captains they don’t have much in the way of brain cells between them. When will these players ever learn?

Ben Stokes is the only one who has shown any application when the chips are down this World Cup, as long as he’s still there we have a chance. Could still win but a lot hinges on these two.

Wouldn't be proper England without a random batting collapse when it really counted.

The run rate is creeping up too much for my liking. Stokes needs to take the handbrake off. Still think we should win this.
