Aye, it was a pain in the arse and incredibly hot, but hardly the end of the world and it didn't spoil the game. I brought my sunnies and saw the match fine. What the players served up is a different matter...

Actually it did spoil my enjoyment of the game, it spoilt it that much I am seriously considering not bothering on Saturday if the weather is anything like yesterday and we’re still be housed in the east stand.

Don’t forget the sun will be higher for Saturday’s game, being earlier in the day, so the roof will offer some protection and shade.

Opening the south stand would be a better option and still leave separation between the fans and McCann should this be needed or warranted

  With the weather on Saturday  forecast to be rain all day, it would look as though seeing the game is no problem, although if you are not keen on getting wet going to the match it could be another matter altogether.

Absolutely no atmosphere from the home fans because of this decision, mindst you there wasn't much from Huddersfield either, but they did tend to get excited over nothing at times

Not sure what you expect at a pre season friendly to be honest..  IMHO you’re never going to get 100% commitment and entertainment in these games..

Won't be queuing in the rain today when they can't even be bothered to put a cash turnstile on the east stand.How many years we been at the Keepmoat?

If there was a cash turnstyle there would still be a queue there too.?

Yes but with the game being a tenner you would be quick though the turnstile and you would'nt have to queue at the ticket office as well.

I’ll be eternally grateful for the advice given to me by the late and sadly lamented Andy Liney.

I asked him where he thought I should buy my ST in the new KM Stadium and he said “West Stand - it’s a no-brainer. The sun will be in your eyes if you choose the East Stand”.

I was in the back row of the east stand when we first moved there.
Been in the west stand ever since.
