Just watched some of his goals....doesn’t look a tall fella, but certainly knows where to be and how to score...
Must admit I’ve never heard of him, but if you lot say is a good un, then that’s all that’s required...

Where will he play within our formation?

We'll see him out wide in the 4231 we play.

Isn't it great how one signing can change your view of things. The prospect of a front 4 of Sadlier and Taylor out wide, Copps in behind and Ennis up top is exciting to say the least.

Add another solid striker and we look strong

Darren attended Rotherham's game with Man Utd U23s in our Checkatrade group, no doubt just taking the opportunity to scout upcoming opponents on a free evening. Taylor left Rotherham a few months ago so it will have been nothing to do with that.

Here is what my millers mate said:

Fast as f**k, heart of a lion gives 150% but cant tackle cant cross, chips in with the odd goal or 3. Thinks hes better than he is....turned down a new contract with us and then came back 6 weeks later asking us to take him back...we said no...we paid about 400k for him as well, not worth half that in my opinion
Hes about 5ft 2 as well??

Did he sound like he was eating lemons,  going by the reaction they gave when he left, he could be very good for us

Out of contract.

Cheap option. ;)

Throwback to when all the remaining freebies would be shite.

Bloody shite Bramhall.
That was I was thinking. How dare you beat me to it.  :crying:

But seriously of course a brilliant signing. All those doubters out there. Just be patient.
Sure there will be another one to follow.
Rome wasn’t built in a day but DM will have Doncaster built start to finish in around 6/7 weeks.

It would have been nice to get the striker in at the same time, but we’ve waited this long, a few more days will not make much difference.

Good, solid, signing and experienced but not pre-historic, so adds to what we have. A good striker, though, will be the icing on the cake.

A few things........

You've got a friend from Rotherham?
You can't give more than 100% - it is impossible.
They paid £500k for him - a club record
He is 5'5" high

It will be a weight off Darren's and the club's back getting a signing over the line, and a player who the boss would really want, his first long term signing.
Good news all round and more to come by the looks of it.

Looks like that ball will be fizzing on the deck from now on...exactly where it should be,...none of this long ball for us.....

One or two, Alan..?

Am happy to trust in DM.. i still expect some disjointed performances for a while before we really get going, but hopefully we’ll get some results too.  Play like the second half last Saturday, and with a bit extra quality, we won’t be too far off..

Let’s not be greedy, IDM. Danny Hylton in next week and then maybe the Wednesday lad?

See, now I’m being greedy!

Am I right in thinking he is a tricky skillfull player. Take some pressure off Copps.

Kinda reminds me how SO'D gradually built his squad. Piece by piece, gradual improvement in  different positions until that team achieved promotion at Wembley. Funnily enough, we then felt we were missing that striker that could make the transition to the Championship, a successor to Heff's.

Maybe getting ahead of myself but hopefully we can see where we're aiming for.

As S_M says, patience is a great virtue. For those with little faith in DM and the board, please try harder.

I noticed he’s got the no 10 shirt.. wonder if that’s any indication of how long it has taken him to sign, or just a coincidence.?
