Gomes
« on August 10, 2019, 06:05:36 pm by Padge_DRFC »
This will upset people as criticism of players doesn't go down well on here, but I cannot believe how poor and lightweight he was today. I didn't cheer his substitution, but was pleased he went off. I actually think he played left wing first half and right wing second so that he could be coached through the game. Doesn't seem to have it between the ears.

I can’t believe GM got him in to replace Rowe he was either for U23 to develop or he couldn’t get any body so brought him in. He needs time

He is the best we have at the moment.  So show him support.

Definitely not ready for first team football. Get Ennis and Taylor up to speed and loan him out to the conference.

I Don't think he'll be a starter from now on. But unfair on Ben Khemis, I thought he was decent sometimes.

I really do wonder how we end up with signings like this? Genuine question - does anyone know?

He played five games for a team fighting relegation in Croatia. Who scouted him and how exactly did they assess he was good enough?

Mixture of Ben Khemis and Riccardo Calder looks like running in quick sand. Seems lazy also

Rated Andrew and Diouf. In fact when did people hate Diouf?

He's definitely not the new Mark Wilson. I saw him put a tackle in today...

He didnt have a great game in tough conditions. But thought the pathetic lack of support from the fans to be well out of order.

He was dreadful today. He's got something about him as we saw in the Hull friendly but Christ it needs bringing out of him.

Daft to cheer him being took off though.

People are well within their rights to express when they don’t think players are good enough. It’s hardly making a player a scapegoat and it doesn’t make them any less of a fan than you.

What happened with the fans?

Some idiots (too many aswell) booed copps being subbed - bizarre as it was not a copps game and cheered gomes being subbed. Right he was taken off I'll add, but get behind him. It clearly pissed Alfie may off too.

The lads just moved here, not played much football, trying to learn and perhaps a confidence player. He didn't need that. Same fans will probably complain when he is scared to try something.

Wasn't there today so didn't see him but from what I've heard it makes you wonder why someone thought he was a better option than Beestin

Judging by some of the tw*ts that post on here and what can be heard in the stands it makes you really worried about our future fan base.
Unless we win 4-0 every week then these sad sacks will never be satisfied and this forum really needs to be avoided.

Yeah what the f**k are we booing and cheering subs for. From what I’ve seen I don’t rate Gomes so far either but support him and support the team.

Young lad from Spain plays two competitive games and isn't brilliant and ends up gettings cheered off.

https://twitter.com/madgerfootball

Always seems excited to play for us and be here going from his Twitter. That'll soon change with how our fans will treat him.

He was quality against Hull, hopefully we'll see that Madger again soon.

Let's give him a chance, he needs time. He's completely unproven at senior level but definitely has ability, as was evident in the pre-season games. He also nearly scored the winner against Gillingham.

While I didn’t cheer him being subbed how he is in our 1st 11 amazes me, it’s not like we don’t have any other options, just play Blair there in fact play anyone in his position

let him get used to senior football on loan or as a sub with a weakened team from last year the last thing we need is players that are out of there depth, yes did well against hull in friendly competitive matches are completely different
