For me Alfie May was outstanding today and should get it. The 2 full backs also played well

He's not a striker. But I think we've found what he is.

I would still play him up top. More movement and guile than anyone

Alfie’s build up play was excellent but as soon as he see’s the white line of the 18 yard box, need i say any more.
Whiteman, Anderson James and Halliday all very good and Alfie (see above comment )

Lots of running from may but no end product
Sadlier was MOM for his decisive intervention

I can understand Baptiste as we was dominating the game till he went off ans we had to move Shief from midfielde to CB

Alfie put himself about yesterday, tracked back well & Rochdale were clearly uncomfortable when he ran at them with space to build up a head of steam. However, after the ball broke to him on the half way line & he got as far as their box one on one with the keeper, he chose to pass to James who was forced wider by the pass & the attack broke down. He seems reluctant to accept the responsibility to have a strike on goal after such a run, why?

Tom Anderson was immense & carried the ball out comfortably at times too, but the heart & driving force yesterday came in shed loads from Ben Whiteman my MOM.

Most players didn't accept responsibility to have a shot. Blair ran at their defence, had a shot on goal and tried to pass it which was cut out.

May had no problem accepting that responsibility last week, probably just decision-making in the moment rather than any shyness in front of goal.

Anderson looks a completely different player to the one that first came on loan. Awesome again yesterday I've voted for him

I voted Anderson. Never mind being defensively solid. Did any see the two occasions he turned their players inside out with a reverse turn? Delicious.

The defensive equivalent of Copps.

Are the 3 people who voted for Gomes trying to wind everyone up?

Anderson is looking a class act. Didn't think I'd be saying that when he first played for us but I think he just keeps getting better and better. Stupid booking yesterday mind.

Having said that, I voted for James. I like what I've seen from both full backs so far, but yesterday I thought James looked very good defensively and gave us more going forward than v Gillingham. I think he could be an upgrade on Andrew if he keeps developing.
