Top six
« on August 15, 2019, 05:03:06 pm by sha66y »
Will the boards representatives be reissuing a new forecast of where they would expect us to finish this season in light of the turmoil caused by the unexpected departure of the previous manager, and the players released by said Manager...

It may be that Darren and the board still feel a top six placing is achievable ?

I completely  agree, ...just heading off those that see this as “etched in stone”  because it was mentioned before a ball had even been kicked, and was inevitably going to be used to batter the club with if we failed to deliver.....

Can’t see any team issuing a revised statement after 3 league games saying “errr actually we might have thought a bit much of this season... aiming for 13th now”. If they did we would slate them all season long! Although half our fan base would do that if we signed Messi!

If we sign 3 good player everything looks a lot better. Maybe in the past managers would have gone to plan b/c/d. Moore is still trying to get plan a.

With the squad as it is no chance, with two strikers a creative midfielder and another center back every chance

To get into the top six we need to be winning games. Remember our last win in any game, as it seems an eternity ago? Gainsborough, seven games ago.
Darren still treats the team sheet as if we are in pre-season preparation, not approaching the third game with 4 points dropped and only 2 picked up.
Will we be in the top six? Silly question, of course not. So let's just enjoy the mediocre ride this season.

It seems every question is a difficult one  now he should be to knowing where and what we need to know and be, but I'm sure he will get it right or I hope he does

As I see until he gets the squad the way he wants it he is being careful what he says. It appears he is working hard with his staff to improve the squad we have. He knows which players we want and will we get them that is the big question.
