Comparisons between League One Doncaster Rovers  and Northern Premier League Division One Frickley are always helpful and conducive to debate, clearly.

Is it as conducive as trying to extrapolate the entire Rovers business plans from a few loan signings?

Childish.

Hopefully Frickley can do as good job for us as we do for other clubs.

Exactly as childish as what I'm parodying. Thus proving my point.

Ignore the extremes. There are certain posters that I don’t even bother to read. But let’s not pretend there aren’t some legitimate reservations about what we’ve been doing this summer.

I understand people might have reservations or confusion, but to let those without any sense of perspective churn out poison unchallenged doesn't help either.

I don’t do that but it would have been nice to have a thread where this wasn’t brought up from ‘either side’ of the debate. Its beginning to look a little obsessive whether it’s criticising the board from one side or criticising fans from another. Neither side of those two groups are entirely wrong or right.

This is a pretty miserable place to post in now anyway so I’ll leave it there.

Do we assume this still allows them to train with us?

Yeah Idd imagine they will train with us still and play for them on a Saturday. With under 23 games played mid week they might still play for us then too.

Most of the loans played in U23 games and trained with us. The only time that did not happen if the team had a game in midweek same day as our U 23 game

Pretty good standard. Gets them into the rigours of mens football.

Makes sense and gets them some regular game time, not going to get a game for us at the moment so not point sitting around or playing football with kids.

Test them in the mens game and see how good they really are.
