Piss take. Why weren't the previous 3 games postponed? This surely highlights the three teams they have already played had an unfair advantage?

Disgrace to be honest, 24 hours before. They managed to field a team on saturday. No doubt rearranged for when they've got a stronger team in place. Surprised the FL have agreed to this,

That’s more points deducted.

No doubt postponed until late in the season, and they'll have had chanced to build a decent squad. Farcical. Didn't see the FL this sympathetic to use when we had a team of 16 year olds out 20 years ago.

Surely when its Bolton themselves cancelling the game they should be giving up the 3 points and it should be an automatic 3-0 win for us.

Unless I'm taking Fifa too literally

I guess it depends on whether we've agreed to the postponement. Pathetic either way.

Surely Bolton can't just cancel a game unilaterally, without consulting the League at all, 24 hours before the game, and not forfeit the fixture?

Sounds like they've taken the decision themselves, given they are anticipating potential further sanctions from the EFL. In which case I think we should get the 3 points and hope the powers that be grant us them.

If they can't field a team the game should be awarded in the other teams favour going as a 3 nil win.

Reading that article it seems BWFC have unilaterally called off the match - i.e without EFL permission.

If so they are likely to be punished, and also we have a case for the 3 points.

I have sympathy for BWFC but not sure this is the best way for them to handle it.

Edit: Mods - can we combine these two threads please, many thanks

Liam Hoden saying they haven't consulted Rovers and they've heard about it on the internet.

Sorry but that should be 3 points for us.

They can't postpone it they can call it off and get a fine and we'll take a 3-0 win. At least this is the way it works at every other level.

The statement on their website basically says we wont play the game right now as we will get thrashed... sorry but it's an absolute disgrace.. if they could play Tranmere they can play us..

To postpone at this late stage is totally different scenario to Bury..If they haven't consulted us or more importantly the EFL and just called it off through there own decision..Then surely we have to awarded the game...

Just as important what about our costs, the club will have booked a pre-match hotel,Paul his busses and other fans train tickets...It's just not acceptable and we surely have to be awarded the game at least..

So it's them refusing to play basically?

Although I feel sorry for Bolton this all needs to be put to bed now. Bury and Bolton not fulfilling their fixtures will create havoc come the end of the season. They should both be treated the same now, not allowed to play unless it’s all sorted. There has to be a cut off point otherwise the fixture list for them will be too great. The EFL need to make a decision now and stop kicking the can

Did the league give us special help when we had no money to pay experienced players, and had to field the youth team. We just suffered and eventually fell out of the leagues.
