Think he's good me.

Already improved several players.
I'm impressed how he's not rushed new signings in, and shown a lot of faith in players.
It appears he's giving the players a lot of confidence.
Never say die attitude seems to have developed.

The two loan strikers Moore brought in made both goals today, and John looks a player and half - yet, Moore still acknowledges we need a target man.

He'll do for me.

I agree totally. There's still idiots on twitter and here that are trying their best to get support for their anti Darren Moore campaign.
DM is making them look very very silly at the moment, but we won't hear or see them on here until they see something to moan about.

PATHETIC!! ELF.

Outplayed but still getting the results, can you imagine what it'll be like when he gets the players in that he's waiting for and things really click?
Can you?

Probably not. Not much between the ears like Brian.

I was just about to post a new thread to ask the question "McCann vs Moore now we have played 4 games" and you partly beat me to it.

McCann' style was that of a motivator, telling the squad they could beat anyone in this league, and that Marquis was the best striker, etc.
What is Moore's style compared to McCann's? He seems much more in the background.

So far he has proved to be every bit as good as McCann was.

For a team that’s had far from ideal preparation for the season, we don’t look bad. We’re playing some really nice football at times

I think we have had a tendency to take our foot off the gas second half in a few of the games and began to look a bit disjointed, but when we’re in full flow we look decent.

I think we’d be a much better side with someone up front who can hold the ball up, and the jury is still out on Halliday defensively.

...  maybe we are even better. Promotion places have yet to be decided.

The jury has gone home ages ago with Halliday. Constantly out of position and ball watching. Definite liability at the moment.

Blair better for me.

Yep that's him. Seen loads of his comments leading up to games trying to gather support for his DM out campaign.
Silly silly Brian.

We were left up the creek with McCann leaving. Then we took a long time to recruit More. More has come in and done an amazing job to build a competitive team, in my opinion.

The jury was just you I’m assuming? Try supporting the players not putting them down. You seem to have it in for Halliday... after all of 5 games? Support the team!

To be fair to Alan, Halliday has had some obvious, worrying deficiencies so far. Hopefully he just needs to get used to playing at this level and in this team. It maybe doesn't help that James is such a solid player on the other side.

Plenty of time for him to improve. Many others who went on to very good Rovers careers started off a bit shaky.

Halliday had an ok game today.
He was at fault for their goal by letting the striker get two yards on him on the blind side but some of his other work was really good.
There was one time in the first half when he got skinned by the winger but turned, chased and got back to block the cross.
He is improving and should be fine for us.

Napoleon was famously quoted as saying he preferred his generals to be lucky rather than good.

So far DM seems to be the rare combination of both  :scarf: :scarf:

I go with that Hound, the most outstanding thing is we are playing as a team, the sum of which is more than the individual numbers, we are energetic, and I don't think we know when we are beaten at the moment, and we have pace to hurt teams where it matters with the two youngsters op front, and Taylor and Sadlier have already shown they know how to get in the right areas in the box to score goals.

Too many times their left winger was in acres of Space but give the lad time..   tom Anderson started off slow in his rovers career, right now he is as important as any player on the field for me!!   Absolutey crucial at the back!!!

If we had played Bolton midweek we would now be top equal on 11 points.
What more could anyone want from the manager or team?
ELF should just be ignored but unfortunately people don't. He would be a lot more disillusioned if he was ignored and no-one responded.

Halliday is a McCann signing he wasn’t bought to defend.
Also apart from Sadlier, Gomes and James what other players are in the side that McCann signed.
Darren is getting more out of the team defensively than McCann ever did.
We are a side that is learning all the back four have played two games together. The two midfield played together for first time in a league game and the front four have played two games together.
So DM is doing a remarkable job to get 2 wins and two draws and we could be top of the league if Bolton hadn’t cancelled their game.

James
Halliday
Gomes
And I would argue sheaf

All really McCann signings
