A14- Round Cambridge
« on September 13, 2019, 08:28:29 pm by sheffield exile1 »
Anyone driving down tomorrow- leave plenty of time (Paul- you with the buses as well). Took me 4 hours this afternoon. There is a nightmare road extension around Cambridge- and a spillage on the same road closing it completely around 20 miles out of Ipswich (hopefully this will have been cleared by tomorrow). Would hate to think of Rovers fans  coming all this way to miss owt.

It might be worth not doing that stretch of the A14. Come off a little higher on the A1 at Yaxley(A1139) and you can drop down to the A142 which comes out near Bury St Edmonds. It’s also a lot nicer to look at than traffic and concrete on the A14.

Sorry guys..the a14 is the project I am working on.    The slowest stretch is near cambridge services but you should be fine.   Allow for an extra 20 minutes

J14 is completely closed from the A1 now... good luck all. We’ve used the a142 and met no traffic so far.
