Income Protection

Has anybody ever used this or does anybody pay for it?
Kind of thinking it would be a good idea but unsure, I do worry about the chances of them paying out should I need it?
Does it cover all illnesses or sickness? Ofcourse I've asked this question but working in insurance myself I know how reluctant insurance companies are when it comes to paying out!

Been quoted £22.00 a month,is this a reasonable price or?
