iPad problem

Having a problem with my iPad when connecting my airpods they work fine but drop out for a split second every few minutes.

I know it's not the airpods as they work fine on my phone and my wife's airpods do this same so I believe it's the Bluetooth antenna in  the iPad .

Question is has anyone changed one before or had one changed if so how much and if you did it yourself was it easy looks a lot of steps on YouTube but don't want to risk breaking it
