Corners

Copps today was outstanding, the best player on the pitch by far. But I wouldn’t have him taking corners. we need someone who can whip a corner in with pace. High floated crosses are bread and butter for goalkeepers and caused their defence no problems at all.
Daylight robbery today, should have had all 3 points

You’d have thought after 47 years at rovers they’d have noticed the majority of his corners are crap

Jon Taylor got an assist from his corner at Rochdale. Clearly has a great delivery on him. Why is he not on corners? Copps has never been great at them

Not enough pace on corners. We have though managed to end practice of failing to beat first man, but now so slow that keeper can easily claim them.

Jon Taylor is the better taker .

Yes. Funny though as a few games ago I thought Copps had improved his delivery and ball striking. I think it was that game when he buried one in the top corner but since then he's gone back to the loopy delivery which is easier to defend. As said above we need more variety with inswingers and outswingers, with more whip on the ball.

There's not much evidence of decoy runs either, just one or two players going for the ball if they happen to be nearest to it.
