Would probably have a better goal scoring record than Thomas.

We could have signed Ronaldo and Messi in the Summer, but if both got injured we’d be in the same position.

Similarly, if Marquis and Wilkes had got injured at the same time last year.

We have been unlucky with injuries to two players in the same position, but its the reality of the squad sizes you can carry at our level.

I trust DM to get it right, and if not, it’s still only a bloody game!

It’s far more important than that BradwellRover.
You are obviously too young to remember Bill Shankly !!!

We've been lucky over the last 3 years that Marquis is indestructible. How many players don't miss a game through injury in 3 years?
If you had told me that JCH was available for 900k in the summer, I would have snatched your hand off. That's where the money should have been spent. I fully support the decision of the board not to throw money at it (see McAntony), but sometimes, it is worth spending, and this was definitely a justified occasion, given that the only striker we have on a permanent contract is a player who couldnt score in the conference north.

I really don't understand the Thomas signing at all, I am prepared to give him a chance but on paper and with his previous track record, I see absolutely no reason that we would sign him.

One of the most bizarre signings I remember, up there with Lee Fowler.

Thomas is an easy signing if it works out and he scores a few that helps win us a few games then great, extension till season end.

If it doesn't work out then a thank you very much and we get someone different in January.

But while he is here let's all get behind him and the rest of the team

Hopefully he doesn't follow a similar...ahem...lifestyle to Fowler.
