Just need to keep doing what we’re doing, keep possession and pull their players out of position. They’ll soon tire and we can hopefully get a few more goals.

Sunderland scored 19 this season to our 17.
We could make that difference up tonight as Southend inevitably tire.
Goal difference between us and Sunderland is only one just now.

Well, if we score two more and they don't add to their three goals we will be one better than them on GD.
I'm not to bothered really yet though, as you say, the three points are more important at this stage of the season.

Three points all that matters.

Lots of goals will be scored and conceded by both teams before the end of the season so it doesn't matter a great deal at the moment.
Lets just focus on winning.
