I remember the 6 v Hartlepool.

We won 7-4 at Ashington in 1928-29

We did, and that was the last time 6 Rovers players scored in a league match. Last night there were 5 scoring Rovers players and an own goal. The last time that happenned was the 6-1 win over Exeter in 1982-83 (The home match before the 7-5 Reading and part of the 6-1,7-5,3-6,4-4 sequence of home matches)

There is some suggestion that the own goal last night might be credited to Taylor, thus potentially equalling the feat of the Aldershot match.

I was at the Aldershot match, and they were top of the league at the time. We needed to win 6-0 or better to overtake them that night! Brian Usher tore them apart. After that Aldershgot's promotion push faded away badly and they finished 15th while we never once lost hold of the top position in winning the title.

What a god awful game it was in the last 15 minutes as people talked of Darlo 10-0 game (which I missed for some strange reason) - and I KNEW we couldnt really get that high !

BRILLIANT but I cant remember a quicker Yellow Card (15 seconds ?) and Red Card combo 3 and a bit minutes maybe ?
