West Indian Spinner Rahkeem Cornwall
« on July 24, 2020, 11:49:26 am by Metalmicky »
Anyone watching the test match...?

The Windies have included a young spinner called Rahkeem Cornwall in their ranks and he is a big lad.  6'6" and 22 stone...

Looks like AA's big brother...

what position does he field in  ?  getting him to field on the boundary would be a bit "too close to the edge"  in this climate how can you have friendly "traditional good hearted banter" with him

I’m 6’7 and 20st, I can guarantee you he’s more than 22st.

He's knocking on the door of 26 at least.

He’s not even sports fat, he’s fat fat. Arguably even American fat. He looks a decent spinner, though.

Are you kidding? He put his hand out and was astonished to see a ball in it

Hes the only bloke in Test Cricket who could open the Batting and roll the Wicket at the same time

Just imagine if he was a fast bowler.
The ground would vibrate so much during his run up that the bails at the far end would come off with every delivery.

For him to be a fast bowler he would need a conveyor belt.
I can't believe a professional sportsman in a ball game being so big.
If he was a rugby or American Football player the game would just pass him by.

The bloke has talent, and quick reactions and ball hand coordination, I know a few ribbed and thinner people who look great and are bloody useless when it comes to having the talent he has.
You don't get to play test cricket if you have not got that really rare thing called talent.

He just dropped a dolly though - bounced of his belly I think...!!

You have to be very good at your particular strength though. He will be limited to where he can field as he won't be running to either save or get quick singles.

Looks like it will be close to Wicket but I have to agree with earlier comment that he didnt look too convincing even with the one he caught - though I may be doing him a disservice

This he was startled when the ball came at him and he was lucky the ball hit his startled hand and his fingers closed around it.

Stokes is an athlete with an athletes body, dropped a dolly, it happens to the best Cornwall took another as easy as pie, RR the first one he took he was what 6 yards from the bat and the ball was 57mph coming past the stumper, I think if you had been there it would have smacked you in the face and then you would have looked surprised before the morning start of play David Lloyd commented about him going through his slip fielding drill, and mentioned how good he was and never missed one.

He dropped Pope with a dolly pretty much first thing today.

He's not a half bad batsman for a tail ender, either. He has a first class century to his name.

Jofra Archer also has a FC century to his name but every time I’ve seen him bat for England he looks every bit a tailender...

Didn’t see Cornwall bat today but hopefully in the second innings he comes out swinging, that would be very entertaining!
