The problem with Corbynistas and Johnson backers
« on November 27, 2019, 09:33:58 am by Ldr »
None of you will ever accept there is an issue with your respective "dear leader"s. Everytime an issue is raised its dismissed as an attack or smear. Nothing will ever get better in this country until we as people can admit faults and address them.

Labour does have an antisemitism problem, face it and address it, dont dismiss as smears.

The conservatives have many issues which they dont address, being massively racist and islamophobic being 2 of them.

People need to be big enough to admit fault and fix them rather than deflect and attack.

How many people on here have never criticised Corbyn?

The basic premise of your post Ldr is just wrong.  There are several lefties on here criticise Corbyn, me being one of them.
I do agree though, there are some who flatly refuse to engage with criticisms levelled at their leaders and that quite frankly is pathetic.

Fair point. You didn't say on here.

It wasn't a deflect by the way. More a comment based on the fact that, as pies says, there are many Labour supporters who strongly criticise Corbyn.

On the specific issue of anti-Semitism, I do think that there has been a conflation of criticism of Israel (which is not only valid, but necessary) with criticism of Jews. I have seen very little evidence of the latter, and certainly nothing equivalent to Johnson's disgusting stereotyping of Muslims and blacks. I do think some of the attacks on Labour on this topic are politically motivated smears, but to say Labour is just dismissing this as smears is ridiculous. A Shadow Cabinet member and the ex-London Mayor have been disciplined and booted out over this issue!
