Anybody would think he'd run away and hidden like a coward instead of being interviewed by Andrew Neil.

Whatever happens I put my country above any party and just hope that some of those that are crowing now are as happy in five years time.
I will be very happy too if you are.

Brilliant.

Nearly as funny as that video they faked of EU Brexit negotiators. Or that poster of Merkel looking like Hitler with the words "We didn't win two world wars to be pushed around by a Kraut".

Bunch of lying, nasty bas**rds. City spivs, barrow boys and neo-fascist gentry. And you lot think they're on your side...

Come on Idler mate, aren't we entitled to a bit of a crow when we've been called from a pig to a dog for 3 and a half years?

The best line of that video was "Did you think we could call them all racists and stupid and they'd still vote for us?" That summed up the exact reason for that trouncing last Thursday, and unless Labour changes it's attitude to it's hardcore Northern voters, they'll get the same again in 4 years time.

Another? I've always maintained their attitude towards Brexit would be their downfall.

But according to the polls, it was not the primary reason that ex-Labour voters didn't vote Labour this time.

https://mobile.twitter.com/opiniumresearch/status/1205510937995812864

And even among those who DID desert Labour over Brexit, more defected to the SNP, LDs and Greens than went to the Tories or Brexit Party.

For what it's worth (and it's not worth much) when I was out canvassing, among folk who were definitely not going to vote Labour, 2-3 said Corbyn was the reason for every 1 who said it was Brexit. That ties in with that Ooinium data, and with the other pre-Election polls that consistently had him as the most unpopular Leader of the Opposition since records began.

That sounds like you think people are more likely to take heed of someone who says f**k all. No wonder Boris won.

The signs for that were there a long, long time ago.  Everyone conveniently got even his own MPs wanted rid of him but the members did not.  Again, I still don't see any signs that members want to think about how to change and thus ultimately how to win....

Corbyn might appear understandably irritable in the circumstances. Dominic Raab, on the other hand, is clearly loving talk of famine and destitution...

You obviously don't like Corbyn selby but most of his policies would make the UK a better place to live than those of Cumming's and I would have trusted a Corbyn government more than johnson to actually implement them, most of the complaints about him appear to be because he and his advisors lost the election which is undeniable.

Johnson will have to turn the tory policy machine around 180 degrees to achieve anything and he hasn't even started yet, he will have to spend more money than he and his party have lost to the country because of the dumb Austerity/brexit uncertainty and due to brexit he will have less to play with in the future. So wait for a massive blow-out of the deficit something the tories were so precious about and wait for all the excuses. The NHS, johnson has said he'll pump money back into it which he'll need to to make up for the lack of funding over the last 9+years but he didn't say once that he'll bring the NHS back into public ownership.

Stick to selling used cars selby

Who's gloating Pancho? Go back and look at my posts on the night of the Election result.

Also, what's coming around? We're leaving the EU.

I didn't mean to imply that you're not a star already Steve but it has to be good, leaving the EU that is, it's already split the country down the middle, cost 120bn as far with much more to come, it must be huge, the benefits must be too big to calculate not sure why it's been kept under wraps this long, the anticipation is palpable, street parties, marching bands, can't wait for the off  :)

I'm glad you recognise that I'm a star Sydney.x

As I've said many times, there's only one person to blame for the country being split down the middle, and that's David Cameron.

Can't disagree with that Steve, can you imagine what it will be like on the day, the editorials are probably ready to go, you know like the obituary files.
