A solid defence is what promotions are built on, is this the start of something special?

The CB pairing look rock solid. Obviously mistakes happen but when one happens the other one clears up. Halliday is better every game. I prefer James at LB to John. John is possibly better defensively but balancing the forward play with defence is something James is much better at.

Sheaf drops in when needed and so does Whiteman. All round top notch defensively.

Dieng just needs to be our primary summer target. I don’t care if everyone else in the summer is a loan for next season if he becomes a permanent Rover.

I just wish fans would be a little more confident when we have possession in our defensive third and try to play the ball.

Defensively, we are very composed at the moment and you can see the confidence they have in each other, helped by the fact we have one of the best keepers around. We'll excuse the little fumble we got away with.

Wright had another good game keeping it simple and winning his headers when he needed to. Anderson dominent as ever with another bloody nose being nothing more than an occupational hazard.

Two full backs who are pretty much equal defending and attacking. Halliday was a bit more secure in the tackle than last couple of games and his decision making was spot on.

Agreed about the patience thing DBR.
The gerrit forrard lads do panic a bit don’t they.
As I asked on another thread, how many goals have conceded as a direct result of playing from the back?
