You are full of shit. And a fascist to boot. And I'm sure I called you both two years ago.  But I don't recall ever saying anyone was full of shit on that specific topic, for the simple reason that I've no idea how this started.

You're full of shit and a serial loser. Get back in your COVID bunker. Brexit LOST, General elections LOST, Covid GOT IT ALL WRONG. You really have a habit of choosing the wrong side don't you?

Word of a new variant in China, highly contagious BA2
Shenzhen and Shanghai in lockdown
Assumption is China isn't telling the whole story new surge hospitals have been opened
the hospital system is on the verge of collapse with all the new cases as well

We have just had a lucky near miss and are on the last day of our 7 day isolation, the youngest g-kid tested positive the day following babysitting her for 6 hrs, her older sister 5, both parents and the two of us have been negative. We all have had two shots and a booster with the 5 yr old having had her first shot.

Up to the end of last year I hardly knew anyone who had had covid.
Since then, in the recent wave, I know lots of people, close friends and family included, who had had it.
None of them have been hospitalised but just felt slightly poorly or at worst, as though they had had flu.

So, I got Covid - not feeling that bad and taste/smell intact. Down side is that we have to cancel holiday next week - but shit happens... :s

You, me, my wife and my 2 month old daughter MM, also means we’re likely having to cancel her first trip abroad (baby, not wife) next weekend barring a miraculous recovery. No worse than a minor cold although the little one has been a bit up and down, just incredibly frustrated/disappointed/angry at the timing having gone a couple of years since getting it when the first wave hit.

I tested positive last Sunday and still positive today.  Bunged up nose, sneezing and more tired than usual. I'm just annoyed that we caught it after all this time. The wife was a couple of days in front of me so I'm hoping for a negative tomorrow.

Me and the wife were for two years until ten days ago, despite members of our family suffering with it.
Now both of us and her parents have been down with it.
Luckily all of us had three jabs so not suffered too badly.
No fun being stuck in though.

Out of my team of 4, I am the only one who hasn’t had it. I am also the only one who hasn’t been boosted. My son has had it also

Yes, quite a lot of people. 2.5 years ago they would have said they'd had a cold.

I know plenty of people who have had COVID and said it was no worse than a cold.

I also know two people, one in their 40s, one in their 50s, both otherwise healthy who said it was the worst thing they ever had. One said that at its worst, she started thinking dying would be a relief.

I knew a third person in his mid 60s who was hospitalised with COVID and who died of a heart attack 3 months later. His widow told me she's convinced it was the COVID that did for him. Says he was never the same after having it.

But yeah. It's just a snuffle.

And herein lies the problem, if people are thinking it's just a bad cold and don't test then they wont know if it's Covid or not. When we both caught it in early Feb we thought we had a bad cold until our daughter and grandaughter tested positive. Only then did we test, negative one day, positive the next. Thankfully neither of us suffered badly. My wife felt tired and jelly like legs, I was left with a hacking cough and no taste or smell for 4 weeks. All just starting to clear up now.

All the best to you and Yours Rich,I was in Bed for a Week in January then had a bad chest infection for another three, most folks are just getting flu symptoms for a few days hope that's the case with you, if you do get the chest problem you can ring your GP via 191 and get Antibiotics.

For me it's the constant coughing, sweeting really bad, swollen glands and fatigue, waiting for a phone call after 2 for antibiotics, but my son and wife are feeling better than me we only thought it was COVID when we lost our sense of smell, cheers

So - a few days on and I've been feeling a bit worse as days go on - been going more downhill since testing positive.

I'm sure I'll survive, but it's not been pleasant and I'm glad that I'm generally a fit and healthy bloke.  I'm Still positive today after five days and feeling a bit meh.........  stay safe people..

My wife was positive until day 11. I was still positive this morning on day 12.
Hopefully I’ll be negative in the morning.
We’ve both been out of sorts rather than really poorly.
