"nobody said it was 100% effective"
"show me the evidence"

Oh OK then

I guess it's what you would tell your kids and do what the doctor says, not trump and the rest

Truly great news that having had COVID can give you good immunity. Genuinely good news.

As long as you weren't one of the 0.6% who it killed first. Or one of the many, many more who would have died if everyone had caught it at once and a couple of million people would have all wanted hospital treatment at the same time.

The people who tweet this sort of shite and pollute minds never, ever talk about what happened where they DID have an unconstrained breakout two years ago. Just conveniently forgotten.

Nice switcharoo, evading the "no one ever said the vaccine was 100% effective".
Which you said BTW, in this very thread, along with a couple of others.

I never cease to be amazed at the insane focus on trivial detail this board regularly displays whilst totally ignoring the big picture.

Looks like I've got the covaids. It's a bit like a chest infection, all good though, I was in need of a bit of down time.

My 91 year old mum has just got it for the 2nd time in 7 months.
She’s actuallly due her 2nd booster jab but will have to wait till she gets the all clear.
On the plus side, she’s stopped smoking after 78 years as she, and I quote, ‘can’t taste a clucking thing,so what’s the clucking point’?
And she used a different word to clucking lol

Why? I've never said it isn't real.

If anything, it confirms that I didn't need the vaccine and my stance was the correct one for me.

Our kid has got it. Fit and healthy, early 50s. Says it's the worst he's had since we were both knocked flat with flu 15 years back. That was the first time I realised how people could die from flu. Weeks of it. Coughing up blood from 2 hour long coughing fits. Shaking so bad I couldn't get a drink to my lips without spilling it.

Our kid has just said to me "Thank Christ for the vaccine if this is how bad it is when we've had the vaccine.

I had flu about 15 years back too and that f**kin levelled me. Never been so ill.

Last night I felt rough and didn't get much sleep so I've been on the settee all morning cat napping, feeling loads better now. My 16 year old lad is also off with it and he's pretty much same as me.

Also noted that nobody has said the famous line "stay safe Nudga" hahaha you horrible bas**rds. I reckon most on here secretly wanted me to end up on a ventilator

C'mon nudga, we may have some lively and robust debates but noone would wish you or anyone else ill.

Have you been to watch any bands with a pub full of people lately?

Forget when I said I hadn't had anything as bad as Covid, I've just had one of these bloody stomach viruses inherited from the kids.  Took us out one by one in the house over Easter and has been nothing short of horrendous.

Could have been that Syd but I had a bad bout of Hay-fever (or what I thought was Hay-fever) last Thursday, felt fine Friday apart from sore eyes and blocked up.
Monday was when I felt really crap. Probably was the night out on Friday though

Astra Zeneca have a new vaccine that in tests has had remarkable  results actually improving resistance to Covid and building resistance to it.
Note the share price up a third over the last couple of months, no more selling at cost and deals with American pharmacists in the offing not particularly Europe, follow the money guys.

You are reading something into that praise that's not there. I was acknowledging after 2 years of saying you hadn't caught it, you saying that you had it that is all

Best of luck Nudga.

I'll be honest, that flu I had in 2008 scared me. I've never been as healthy after that. I wouldn't want that again as I get older.

My elderly, unvaccinated colleague who I've been trying to shield for 2 years has finally copped for it. He was stuck in bed for 4 days last week and sounds like a different person on the phone. Shaky, no tone in his voice.

I've known him 30 years and he hadn't  had 10 days off sick in that time, but he's now been off since a week last Monday.

Just had my 2nd dose of covid 2 weeks back, this one "confirmed" with lft and pcr. The previous was Feb 2020, not testing but was deffo covid. Both times almost identical bar this one mega chill on day one, the previous far more respiratory focus (not chest). No vax.

Interesting that it is the same despite the previous. Maybe protection doesn't last, maybe it's simply the significant difference in the variant, maybe my immune system is just shite!
