Austria make vaccines compulsory for all citizens. Exemptions yet to be decided upon.

That's it folks. The world has changed for good.

Austrian President claims that every person unwilling to have a vaccine is an anti vaxxer and has been brainwashed into not having the vaccine.

Makes a change from being brainwashed INTO having it, which is what we are trying to do in the UK.

Why can't these leaders just accept that that people don't want the jab and for varied reason. They are not all rabid anti vaxxers.

f**king hate my ancestral homeland at the moment. Ashamed of the pieces of shit that run Osterreich and just feel solidarity for those Austrians who are not putting up with this orwellian bullshit.

There you go again, accusing people like me of being brainwashed into having the vaccination, even though you have said you have no problem with people getting it, most of your posts suggest you are trying to influence people not to have it

If we accept mandatory vaccines then we are simply state own property. They can then manufacture any crisis and then tell you that you need to do X,Y, Z in mitigation or you will be stopped from having a life. Can't believe the sheer numbers of people just going along with this.

By all means have the vaccines. But each and every person must oppose mandatory vaccines and passports.

While we are talking about brainwashing, I'm still fascinated in who convinced CDH that Carl Sagan knew about iPhones.

It appears that our covid situation is improving slightly but in countries such as Austria, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany things are going from bad to worse.
Compulsory vaccination is being ordered.
More lockdowns are being imposed.
Vaccination passports look like they could become the norm.
Germany reported 65000 new cases in a day on Thursday and some officials have suggested that the actual numbers could be two or three times higher.
The organisers of the Australian tennis open have insisted that all players at the next tournament will have to prove they have been jabbed otherwise they won’t be allowed to take part.
Perhaps that is something that will happen more often around the World.

The rise in numbers in Europe has achieved something on here anyway, it seems to have  stunted the number of posts of our most enthusiastic government haters blaming them for everything, down to number 13 in the forum hit list before this post, and very muted with criticism of the EU leadership.
Also the Azeem Rafiq thread has taken a tumble down the hit list as his supporters start to realise he isn't quite the shining light he was put uo to be. Not really a team mate you would want was he.
My tip today to labour and Rafiq supporters is don't back horses you will end up with very little.

Genuine point though isn't it that some in Europe are making on the news tonight. It was short lockdown followed by another then another, then it was a vaccine to solve the problem, then a booster now that hasn't appeared to suffice it's another lockdown and mandatory vaccines. Where does it go next, is there a way out or do we accept the virus?

How would we feel if football, gigs, readtaurants, theatres, family trips all stopped again suddenly?

I've never understood what "living with it" means.

If a substantial proportion of the population refused to get vaccinated and you let the virus rip, the health service WILL fall over and there WILL be bodies in mass mortuaries.

If football and family trips all stopped again, if be incandescent at the idiots who refuse to be vaccinated.

By the way, the booster has a stellar effect on reducing serious infection. It's not that it doesn't work. It's that we are about 10 million doses short of where we should be.

Complete b*llocks i'm afraid.

Nearly 90% of the UK is jabbed. 0f the 10% or so not jabbed, the majority of these won't end up in hospital.

Soon the hospitals will just be full of double jabbed and boosted folk and then what will your thoughts be then? This issue is one of a poorly managed and poorly functioning NHS and nothing to do with vaccinations.

And yet we are better than the rest of Europe with our booster jabs completed numbers.

Even if 10% haven't had the jabs, what's to say they haven't already been infected and now have natural immunity?
Seems like natural immunity is a conspiracy theory nowadays.
Sick of being told to expect certain death or serious hospitalization or even killing other people.

Me too.

Anyone would think that this virus had a 99.9% certain death rate instead of the opposite being true, even without a vaccine.

Mass hysteria on a global scale.

I guess no one would complain if they weren't told about any risk and a family member died.

Bpool. What matters is how many people have gone 6 months since their second vaccine and not had a booster.

Six months ago, we had given over 23 million second doses. But today we've only given 15 million boosters. So there are over 8 million people who are becoming increasingly vulnerable.

In Germany, they were slower getting the vaccine programme going. 6 months ago, they had only administered 11 million second doses. They have administered over 6 million boosters, so they had a gap of under 5 million.

The highlighted bit. Total b*llocks. Out of 8 million who have have not yet had a booster, a very small percentage of them are actually vulnerable to the virus. Most of the people in the UK were and are not vulnerable to Covid in terms of death yet people lose their shit if every man and his dog isn't jabbed up to the eyeballs.

You are talking shite, as you always do CDH.
These 8 million are all in the top 9 most vulnerable groups. Most of them had the AZ vaccine and it is well established that the efficacy of that vaccine drops quickly after 5 months.

If you insist on staying vulnerable, fill your boots. Just stop spouting utter shite to everyone else on a subject you clearly don't understand.
