The difference being during a government lockdown they got government support - now they still have the costs - but no support.Look how quickly the economy bounched back after lockdown - the goverment were even bragging about it. They reckon it will take a lot longer to recover after this - if they manage to survive it.

And I spoke with our cleaner who was off with COVID before Xmas. Mid 40s. Fit and healthy. Anti-vaxxer.She lives on her own with two dogs. She was mostly in bed for a week and doesn't have any recollection of 4 of those days. Said on one of her more lucid days, she thought she was dying and would have accepted it as a relief. She's lost 2 stone. And the dogs, who weren't fed or taken out for 5 days shit and pissed everywhere and ripped the house to bits. But yeah. Just like flu.

I think small businesses have a duty of care to their employees. Covid or flu could have made that poor lady bedridden. Her employer should have checked if she was OK, especially if she was unable to contact anyone.

We use serviced offices and she's employed by the facility manager. I can give Belton the facility manager's contact details if he wants to take it up with him.

Keir Starmer has tested positive for Covid again. Slightly worrying for him given he had it 2 months ago and has supposedly had his booster aswell. It's his 6th period isolating now apparently.
