Perhaps she didn't know about the loophole and was sticking to the lockdown rules! :silly:

The Durham Police judgement today poses a number of questions now for the government. Not so much for Cummings but the cabinet ministers who supported him and told us he did nothing wrong. Most of all the Attorney General.

This Barrister believes it is a resigning offence:

If one goes they all go, it seems Cummings has a hold on every one of them, not one has a backbone to break ranks, care more about their carreer than what is right or wrong

More questions not being answered..

It is progress that as of Monday, up to 6 people from different households can meet in public but now to include private gardens.

But people cannot go into other houses.

So i can now invite my dad to come visit one day next week to come to a bbq in my garden, but he can’t go inside to take a piss.??

Well the CMO and CSA have been blocked from answering questions on public health messaging by a Prime Minister seeking to politicise the issue. There really are no words.

Now they implied you could go to the toilet in someone’s house as long as not only were hands washed but the surfaces also meticulously cleaned..

Which is it.?  If they can’t make this simple message clear then what else is muddled?

The Sun journalist also asked the scientific advisers if they agreed driving 60 miles is ok for an eye test.  Didn’t answer.

Johnson isn’t going back to the questioners to follow up either.

This is pathetic.

But earlier in the briefing the PM specifically said people could not go inside others’ houses.

They either can, or they can’t.  Or are there exceptions again where we need to use our instincts.?

I think what it says is that they cannot possibly endorse what has happened, so they’ve been effectively gagged on speaking.

Give them some credit here. If they had agreed with Johnson’s ludicrous stance then you can be sure they would have been permitted to speak, and if they were truly in bed on this issue then they would have done that.

Alright. Simply ignoring difficult questions now.

I hope they keep asking them.

Peston made the point, it's not that political.

There are serious questions now about how strict rules are and how sharp are the lines. You can be sure there is a large section of the public who are now looking upon this restrictions as loose guidelines only.

What do they all have in common?

It is pathetic that the PM refuses to answer questions - regardless of the subject.

As we debated earlier, the Cummings issue isn’t about the detail of what he did, it’s about the public perception of what they should/must do compared to what they determine themselves that they will do.

This was Johnson just sticking his fingers in his ears, and it’s not good enough IMHO.

As for using someone’s toilet, this was raised by a journalist - the answer suggested you could, but would need to clean the room each time.

However, you can use the toilet during your supermarket but they don’t clean on between each user.

Oh and the BBC news has just said the socialising in England can be up to 6 people, but in Scotland it will be 8 - I would like to know why it’s different.?

Well is that partly because the government have now created a rod for their own backs? They say you can't stop over at a relatives house... Is that really a strict rule? Can you go to the lav? Every interaction now has to be examined to see what the rules really are. And what are the penalties for breaking them?

When it was all clear, you can do this you can't do this, break the rules big fine it was easy for the police. Now it's all gone mushy.

You would like to no and quite rightly so, if they stopped asking questions about Cummings which he is not going to answer you might have a chance of finding out

it has been like that since the start thou, how long you should walk for, do you really need to shop for this or that, people will always have there own view on how’s things should be and most of time there is no right or wrong

Again, the Cummings issue is about how the public now behaves.

Guidelines/rules are changing as of Monday, but because of Cummings, how people react to new rules is very relevant.

That is why it is still an issue.

Surely someone so important could have made it happen. I honesty cannot believe your attempting to defend what is nothing more than a pack of lies. Lies which have been pointed out, continually. Yet, you still attempt to defend the indefensible.
