I was almost directly above the incident and it looked like a 50-50 to me at the time.  Two committed players going for the same ball.

That's what it was NNK. Their lad had stumbled, which is what made James think he could get the tackle in. But he recovered and got his foot (not raised) to the ball with James still a good half a yard away.

I initially thought the Bolton lad had lost control of the ball and clattered James. I was livid when the free kick was given then worried about Reece

Watching on ifollow with several replays, James slides in but at the collision it looked like a 50/50..
