Are you thinking it might be a show of strength by UEFA, with the intention of letting them off on appeal?
A public shot across the bows of any club intending to break the rules.

Will be interesting to see if it does withstand the appeals.

If they are banned, Sheff Utd currently occupy the replacement Champions League place in the Premier League...

I wonder is this behind their lack of form in the PL ? Knowing their players will be leaving in there droves .

Then why are they playing like runners up for most of the season, they must have known that a ban was a likely out come from day one . Players aren’t stupid their advisors will be have been talking to them about them  not playing in Europe .

Not defending Man City, but would Uefa come down that hard on Barcelona or Real Madrid in the same circumstances?!

They'll get it overturned no doubt. Just get Bolton's lawyers for a good outcome

I'm fairly convinced a European League is not far away and decisions like this make that more likely to happen even though I totally agree with UEFA's stance .

The European super heavy weights don't want to be bogged down with rules and regulations and some sort of level financial playing field holding them up .

Absolutely not , they see themselves as creating the champions league revenue and the reason the champions league exists at all .

With Amazon entering the football broadcast market you can see the future pretty clearly .

The day they are gone can't come quick enough for me and our own domestic football will be the better for it .

Good riddance .

Who cares. It’s Man City. The club that literally bought success and is the epitomy of everything that is bad about football.

Which ones are out of contract.?  You’re clutching at straws to try justify a tenuous argument..

Apparently in December 2018 Uefa said what the decision would be before any investigation took place as Man C said Uefa were  complainants, Prosecutors, jury and judge  and they are appealing and taking it to court

I don't know its just what ive read .................

Every club buys success in one way or another, transfers, investments .

Why is so hard to see why players wouldn't stay when most of their money is made by playing in Europe and contracts but out clauses include  sponsorships , appearance and goal bonuses etc ..

Cheats prosper in football, just look at Bolton. Man City will grease the palms of corrupt officials and they will carry on as normal very soon, cheating their way forward.

 :that:
Blackburn "bought" the Title and success - did their fans look away ?

Wolves have bought well - are their fans delighted - of course and if they win Europa League will the Molineux Fans boycott the Open Top Bus Parade ?

And of course dont get me started on the Club who SAY they will never buy a Title - Manchester United who ever since I was a lad have been buying (or trying to buy) Trophies

Harry Gregg from Doncaster Rovers to Manchester United (better still read the extract on Wikipedia)

At the age of 18 he earned a move across the Irish Sea to Doncaster Rovers. In December 1957 he transferred to Manchester United for £23,000,[3] a world record fee for a goalkeeper at the time.[4]

I am not Man U bashing for the sake of it but Teams have always bought for success or what would be the point of making any signings at all ?

A really good read..

If it had been Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madid. Or Man Utd was in it they wouldn't have got banned.

Phil,
I’m quite happy with rovers just as they are thank you.
I’m not jealous of city one bit.
They presided over their millions while local clubs like bury, just down the road, go under.
North ferriby went under for just £8000. Pocket money for some of their players.

Hope the family is well.
D
