Rovers podcasts to help fill the void
« on March 21, 2020, 02:14:25 pm by VivaRovers »
To help people fill the void a bit I thought I'd stick all the fanzine's podcasts in one place in case you wanted to give them a listen.

Each one is around 40-45 mins long so you could do two at a time on each matchday :)

The first six episodes we did were very topical in terms of looking back at previous games and upcoming matches, so I've not included those, but here are the more general ones we've done over the last three years.

Episode 7: Promotion! And what should the club's nickname be?

Episode 8: The end of 2016-17 and ghosts of Belle Vue

Episode 9: The Definitive Doncaster Rovers XI of the 21st Century

Episode 10: Getting through the close season and looking ahead to 2017-18

Episode 11: Reflections on Arsenal vs Rovers in the League Cup

Episode 12: The most infamous Rovers related rumours

Episode 13: FA Cup fever grips the team

Episode 14: The Rovers team of the decade 2010-20

Episode 15: The football ground episode - what makes a good ground?

Episode 16: The football kit episode - the good, the bad and the ugly

Episode 17: The Brentford episode - April 2013 revisited

Episode 18: The Coronavirus episode

I've linked to the website because that's the most accessible way for everyone to listen to them, but for regular podcast listeners they are also available on most platforms, so do subscribe to us if you can.

If there's a platform you normally listen to podcasts on and you can't find us on there, just let me know and I'll make sure we're added.

Interesting editorial on the Pop Stand website I've just clocked;

Thanks for sharing that Bollinger, and well done Glen for an excellent and thought-provoking editorial.

I do hope it garners some responses, it's a great initiative.

Episode 19 of the fanzine podcast has just gone live. It's a little longer than usual, but that's because we had a lot to cover, as we looked back at Rovers' 2002-03 season.

Yep, it's all here... the players, the memorable matches, the nerves and ultimately the relief. Plus find out how one of us scammed a coach load of Barnet fans. Listen via the link below, or search for 'podular STAND' (notice the 'd' not a second 'p') on your preferred podcast provider.

Also, cheers for the comments above about the recent editorial. It's a first step; I hope to find ways to take more with the 'zine

That was an hour very well spent. Thanks Glenn and Jack. Congratulations.

Would like to see you try and make an hour out of the 1999/2000 or 2000/01 season mind.
