I'd like a 2nd and 3rd opinion of this virus too.
Much I like I would do if I thought I'd been misdiagnosed at hospital.

We came back from Goa at the end of January. Not long after a lady of 72 was told by her grandson a hospital consultant to self isolate. He told her that if she got it she wouldn't be offered a ventilator as these would go to those expected to recover rather than the very old or infirm.
I thought at the time that it was a bit dramatic but she's still isolating and only going out for her exercise walks.
Her grandson tells it like it is and if it was a conspiracy he would have said so. His word would be a good enough second opinion for me.

Fair enough,no problem there.

Personally though, l know that some nurses are questioning things between themselves, they feel that they cannot speak up though.

Maybe different areas have a slightly different problem. The consultant is a over hundred miles away from Bradford but he knew early what was likely to come off.
My wife was a nurse for over twenty years and still speaks to friends still there. They also don't like the way that it has been handled.

CONFIRMED:

Tomorrow opposition party leaders (Labour, SNP, Lib Dems, DUP, Plaid Cymru, SDLP, Greens, and Alliance Party)

will hold a meeting to 'discuss the next steps in holding Boris Johnson and Dominic Cummings to account'.

That’s a bit of a silly comment.

Not particularly, all they can do is make noise, the parliamentary majority will see to that at this stage.

They can keep the issue alive.  Plenty of Tories are unhappy too.

I know, I'm one of them, the backbench Tory mps are the relevant ones now

Ldr.

Then look at the comments from Sir Roger Gale I've out on the CV thread.

But you're wrong by the way. In a functioning democracy, the Opposition is crucial. They put the pressure on that forces the backbenchers to act.

I know that, my point is that the backbench Tory mps are what will drive Boris's hand here, the group meeting tomorrow are irrelevant

 No it is not.

The Opposition will do its job of pressuring the Govt. They will keep probing at the story. And casting the Govt in a poor light. If they didn't, there'd be no pressure in the backbenchers to do intervene. What ALL the Tory party really wants is for this story to go away, quickly.

Yes it is.

If there were no Tory MPs willing to force BJs hand then no amount of opposition meetings and baying can change anything. The backbench Tory mps are the relevant ones herw

They are both part of how the democratic system works. Neither does the job without the other.

But yes. We'll leave it there. And you stay well too.

They are not allowed to!
