Can someone explain to me how  they are  paying all the players like Ched Evans, Paul Coutes, Glen Whelan, Paddy Madden - all established pros who’s wages will be considerable  & lets not forget Danny Andrew - I know they’ve got a benevolent chairman but their ground is only 6500 capacity - I can see trouble ahead - administration is a possibility if they don’t go up, another Bury FC

Doesn’t one of their chairman’s companies rent an office from the football club for a vast amount a year

Still, after all those established names, they are 1-3 down at half time, and down to ten men, and Wycombe missed a penalty as well. So pleased!

He’ll be losing plenty of money too there’s no way income can meet expenditure given the size of the ground & there will come a point when the chickens come home to roost

You're being generous with that 6500 capacity Branton. The actual figure is only 5327.

Those cheating Fleetwood B......S got their just rewards tonight.
Wycombe weren’t much better at Adams park in Nov.
But Fleetwood play like their manager did and a strong ref tonight could see what they were up to. Just a pity we didn’t get a strong ref when we played them at Highbury. They got away with murder.

That maybe true. But he will have to reign in the spending eventually. A club of that size can’t sustain Championship football for long. ( if they eventually get there ) Their gates ave little over 3.000 and that’s when they are doing well.

The one down side hound is we will probably have to go to that windy, freezing cold fishing village once again next season and come home empty handed.  :headbang:  :crying:

Let’s hope it is one of the early games then mate and then we won’t be able to go for certain.

Barton has built a team like himself - low life.
So....cast your minds back...Oakwell months (years!) ago....Barton has still to appear in court....another disgrace - lets hope he gets found guilty & imprisoned.
Has anyone got a date for this?

They owe us one after the Bolton debacle, but your right. January possibly February for a meeting to decide on the next meeting.
I will almost guarantee Fleetwood away will be between November and February and it will be freezing.

A perfect example of why ppg was floored from the get go! Fleetwood, alias flat track bullies, were never good enough to be top 6. They’ve dropped lucky due to the circumstances, as have Wycombe, to be fair, but at least Wycombe did have that amazing start to last season under their belts. The sooner that numbskull of a manager at Fleetwood gets found out, the better.

Unfortunately, for every side in L1 next season, they are going to have to be revisiting that awful place.

Wycombe got lucky to get in the play offs but tbf to Fleetwood they were in a great position to get the play offs in the normal season and were on a great run of form before lockdown. I don't think they've dropped lucky due circumstances and think they would have likely got play offs anyway.

I think we would have pipped them and, if not us, Peterborough were far better.

Why were Wycombe lucky to get into the play offs.?  Weren’t there 6 teams after the top two only separate by one point, and Wycombe had a game in hand?

Whatever PPG equation you apply just to that game in hand, it would have given Wycombe more than one point.

I think so far the championship has shown PPG not to be the fair way, but we all knew that.
