Oxford seem to have a decent scout over there. A bit like us in the 50s before Hubert Bates decided it wasn't what he wanted.

We almost signed Whyte, I think.

Sadlier came from the Republic so it's good, but it's not right. ;)

I know that Sads came from the Republic mate, I was responding to the post by DO who mentioned the ROI.

Paul Smyth; Linfield to QPR.

Impressed v Rovers while on loan at Accrington, scoring one and assisting another in their victory at the Keepmoat (18/19 season).

Actually I was looking for Rovers connections with Glentoran over our history.

In addition, so far I have found the following Northern Ireland born or qualified players in Rovers hostory.

Tommy Aiken

I’d forgot about Paul Smyth and he’s a wide midfielder as well, to make it worse I’ve seen him play for Linfield,Accrington and N.Ireland

Careful Dutch, there are some around these parts who ridiculously consider Irish football (both sides of the border) as Sunday league stuff.
