'' SEASON TICKET BOOK''

It's 2020 NOT 1970.

I dunno, I do wonder when I walk from your train station down to the ground what century I'm in.

Nice one, J.

Have we ever considered a card system SM

We have, currently it would cost too much to change over, but its still a discussion point.
should have been done when stadium was first built

Of course, but the council needed to save money.

Shame we couldn't have built our own stadium.

Where would the £20million odd quid have come from?

Where do loans usually come from?

So instead of having DMBC pay for the construction, we should have loaded the club up with £20 million plus of debt.

Are you in charge of finances at Bolton by any chance?

Stadium complex was £32m. John Ryan negotiated an unbelievable deal for us here. It was an absolute disaster for Doncaster council tax payers but for Rovers we have ended up with effective (not actual) ownership of the purpose built stadium and complex for an absolute pittance. Doncaster people might at large not have much interest in turning up for games but I am always cheered by the fact that the ‘Donny Whites’ and Doncaster-resident armchair fans of other clubs, have each made their own contribution towards our home. Thanks lads!

Andy Linney (RIP) negotiated the deal

Andy Liney was definitely involved - as were a number of other people - but the deal got done because of Martin Winter and John Ryan. The council had to negotiate with a corporate entity and John Ryan was at that stage the controlling shareholder, although he had put Trevor Milton in as chairman I recall. Andy Liney was the VSC representative on the Board of Rovers, but the VSC had very little equity in the club. Ryan was the owner.

Andy Liney was very heavily involved with the design process and stadium negotiation lease, so much so that at one point Ryan made him a Director of the club

The KMS is not an asset is it? We could have had a bigger stadium for a lot less than the one built by the council and it would have been our stadium not one we will never own but just lease.

More for less, and somehow end up with an asset rather than tens of millions of debt.

I take it back. This is making Bolton look like a model of financial propriety.

And made our club a target for another Richardson character who only wanted the club for the value of the stadium.

If it's October 1st I'm guessing about 3.

Hopefully. They're busy trying to cram 3 months work into 3 weeks.
