New Away Kit
« on August 11, 2020, 12:42:52 pm by Woodhead Passer »
DRFC have posted glimpses of the away kit on Twitter and Instagram.

Black and grey hoops just like 2016/17. Wonder if was designed by Louis and his grandad again

Mmmm, I still think blacks should be reserved for referees. It's usually popular with fans though.

I wouldn't mind seeing hoops in two shades of green. It's a shame they stopped the fans kit design competition.

Yeah, personally I'm not a fan of the black away kits usually. We're clearly not going to get a regular green away effort again unfortunately, bit there have been some nice blue ones including last year's with the yellow trim.

I do think black away kits are quite smart, also more flexibility to mix and match both kits if we ever clash.

This is what happened when we mixed our kits in 2017/18

Maybe this is why we don't have green away kits!

But then... didn't Alex Ferguson famously make his Man Utd side change their gray away kits at halftime and didn't use them again because the players could not be seen against the crowd?

That was the justification, though from memory they were getting battered by Southampton at the time and the kit ended up a handy scapegoat.

i like the idea of away kits that compliment the home kit, and as you say gives the option of mixing up the shorts and shirts without creating the kind of monstrosity shown above!

Interesting the Instagram picture shows the badge as a white colour suggesting a filter. I wonder what the real colour is....

Picture modelled by copps on drfc official looks pretty cool, a hint of flashy rugby league shirts about it?

I think the club shop pictures are really poor quality. I’ve seen other images which make it look a lot better.

Just a couple of things, why is the badge in black and white? And i noticed the hoops go all the way around on the away kit but they didn't do it on the home kit.

Like the idea of the greyed out club crest, looks two tone grey on there, i assume its a similar colour to the FBT one from a few years ago.  I do like the recent trend of hoops on the away kit too , and always been more comfortable with hoops continuing on the back.

Does anyone know if the Season Ticket discount will be repeated on the away shirt?  Going to order this but will wait if we’re likely to receive emails with the discount again.  Thanks in advance for any info.

Is the club shop still closed?

It's £5 off with the voucher for the home shirt, but £3.98 for delivery, so it's realistically only saving £1.02. Plus if you wanted to buy one for someone else in your household, you can't apply 2 £5 off vouchers on the same order, which means you have to pay for 2 deliveries.

It'd be more convenient to pick up in store with the usual 10% off for ST holders.

I really like that shirt - IMO, it's nicer than the home shirt...

Not sure on the sizes though - are they snug fit or is XL really an XL...?

The club are hoping to have some good news on the store front soon. So maybe hang on for a bit rather than ordering online?
