On the contrary I'm excited for a normal Saturday, it's been too long.  The games partly irrelevant.

Got a good feeling about this team…..a bunch of guys offered a career lifeline to go out and show this league that we are not a broken thing, players running through walls to prove their worth, …… reminiscent of a pub team having a laugh

Nervous for the season overall. This is not a moan but I think we are way short of where we all, RW included, hoped we would be.

I ‘get’ the status of rebuild season … Im just hoping we can get through it without falling into a relegation scrap, and then further rebuild in the summer.

Fancy a draw today …. 1-1

are there any covac tests being taken today ...  meaning what time can all managers know there players are ok to participate

apparently Rovers will come out to the Acker Bilk song strangers on the Shore pitch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cEr4CCtllA

let's hope they aren't washed up on the beach by 5pm

a fantasy result would be a 3-0 win and top of the league (we could be heroes for just one day) the highest point of the season !!

in reality ....... "things can only get better"

I am as apprehensive as anyone on this forum, but I also like to think I have a nervous excitement about today as well, granted, pre-season has not gone as well as I would have liked, what with COVID and injuries, but in RW, we have a manager that will make sure that the players will run through brick walls for him, anything less than that, and they will not be at the club very long. My heart says top 6, but my head, realistically is saying top 10-12, then kick on for next season, so long as take points off both Wednesday and rotherscum, then it will be a great season  :rtid:

I'm looking forward to all the players stopping part-way through the game for no particular reason and a large spinning disc to appear over the centre circle, before resuming play up the other end of the pitch.

That’s fine 6?weeks but things can change so quickly in football.  Look at last season second 4games in hand and2 points behind, and it all went oh so wrong

It just seems so obvious that we are well short of a squad that will be able compete in the way we did in the first 2 thirds of last season. RW is clearly a highly intelligent manager with great understanding of the game but will have to be very special to avert a season of languishing in the lower reaches.

Mush said it BUZZING.

It’s been a long time since MK Dons away in March 2020
17 months without live competitive football.
Great to get back to that Saturday routine I have had for the last 58 years.

I’m much more confident now we haven’t got Jones in the net (hopefully).

2-1 win after being 2-0 up for me
